COUNSELLING

Counselling is the systematic,scientific and proffessional help process given to induviduals by experts in order to solve their problems,make realistic desicions, improve their capacity,adapt to the society in a balanced and healthy way and by those actualise themselves.

A- Counselling is not a service given to the individual through one way.

B- Counselling doesn't mean doing things for individuals what they can't do themselves.

C- Counselling is not caring about just one aspect of the individual,individual is a hole.He should be considered to be a whole which has lots of sides (Emotions, ideas,interests,abilities,character,social life).

D- Thecniques which are used to know the individuals are not the aim of counselling but the vehicles of it.

E- Counselling doesn't mean "maintaining dicipline,judging,punishment".

THE AIMS OF COUNSELLING:

The aims of counselling is to help,

A- Knowing himself physically,maintally,emotionally and socially,

B- Knowing chances in societyfor his growth,education opportunities inside and outside the school,occupations,expectations of society,

C- Choosing the right programme beginning from the basic education in National Education direction system,

D- Improving the power of solving problems,making desicions,adapting to the society in balanced and helthy way.
